How to Order
Phone us up and talk through what you are looking for. Things to think about include yurt diameter, what you want to use it for, stove options, windows, wooden doors etc. We will give you any advice you need, a quote and an estimated delivery time. We can hold a verbal booking for no longer than seven days. A 33% deposit will confirm the order. We will then send out a receipt and full list of specifications, and estimated delivery time. Check the specs to make sure you are getting what you want. At this stage it is easy to make changes. We will contact you before work begins to reconfirm the spec. Full payment is required on completion. Storage facilities are available for a small weekly charge.
Visiting the workshop
If you or your partner are uncertain whether yurt life is for you, come
and stay in one of our holiday yurts. This would give you an opportunity
to see what it is like to stay in a yurt, see the workmanship and to visit
the workshop. Details are under the yurt holiday page.
If you have decided you would like a yurt but would like to discuss the details
and see the workshop, please phone first to arrange a time.
Delivery or Collection
We deliver all over the country or we can send by carrier. Personal delivery
can include assembly, although all our yurts go out with detailed and illustrated
instructions. Delivery and assembly, within 50 mile radius, is £100,
within 100 miles, is £150, 150 miles is £200 etc. plus mileage
charged at 40p per mile there and back.
Please ask for a quote.
Alternatively we can send by carrier on an overnight or three day service. Cost is determined by weight and as a general guide will cost in the region of £1 per kilo.
Perhaps a more convenient option is to collect in person. We can assemble the yurt here in the workshop before you leave or you could set it up in the field for an overnight stay on the smallholding. Cost of assembling here is £75 and an overnight stay is £15.

Every attempt is made to deliver on time, but with small craft based businesses
delays can arise. Yurtworks is not responsible for any inconvenience caused
or income lost to the customer as a result of an unanticipated delay.
Despite these small print forebodings very few problems ever arise. We make every effort to ensure that our customers are always in the picture throughout the making process and are welcome to visit the workshop to see the work in progress. This approach helps to ensure that our customers take delivery of a yurt that will be enjoyed for years to come.
